Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Cargo Mission Contract (CMC) and a growing portfolio of NASA and commercial work. You will provide technical support for engineers in research, design, development, testing, manufacturing, fabrication, modification, repair and process improvement.

Responsibilities include fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and supporting hardware development and sustaining engineering across on-site and field locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant technical experience.
• Ability to read and implement requirements from engineering drawings and work orders.
• Experience with electrical/electronic and/or mechanical fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, repair or testing.
• Familiarity with engineering drawing and documentation processes.
• Familiarity with tool and equipment calibration requirements.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support and work per approved documents, drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
• Fabricate, assemble, modify, repair, troubleshoot, and test electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and assemblies.
• Handle laptops, printers, audiovisual equipment, and related hardware components.
• Fabricate cables and harnesses using NASA workmanship standards including soldering and coating.
• Read and implement requirements from drawings, schematics, orders, and procedures.
• Support hardware testing, inspection, repair, and modification activities.
• Coordinate technical activities and guide junior technicians as needed.
• Maintain tools and spaces per safety and quality standards.
• Travel domestically to support fabrication, modification, and testing activities.
