Job summary

Leidos in Texas is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Cargo Mission Contract (CMC). You will provide semi-professional technical support to engineers across design, testing, and manufacturing processes.

The role covers electrical/mechanical fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting, with travel up to 10% for on-site testing at NASA centers. Primary duties include working from work orders, fabricating cables, and assisting engineers while maintaining lab safety and organization.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years related experience.
  • Ability to read and implement requirements from engineering drawings and work orders.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings process and calibration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical engineering support per work authorizing documents.
  • Work on laptops, printers, AV equipment, and electrical/mechanical components.
  • Fabricate cables/components following NASA workmanship standards (soldering, harnessing).
  • Support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Lead operations within an area with significant impact on results.
  • Assist and train lower-level support staff.
  • General lab cleanup and maintenance.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs routinely.
