Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Cargo Mission Contract (CMC) and NASA/commercial efforts. You will assist engineers in design, fabrication, testing, documentation, and process improvements across multiple sites.

The role covers electrical, mechanical fabrication, troubleshooting, and hardware support, with opportunities to lead technical activities and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related technical experience preferred.
• Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and documentation processes.
• Experience with electrical, electronic, and mechanical fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, repair, or testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support per drawings, procedures and work instructions.
• Fabricate, assemble, modify, repair, troubleshoot and test electrical, electronic and mechanical components and equipment.
• Support laptops, printers, AV equipment, electrical/electronic hardware, mechanical components.
• Fabricate cables and harnesses to NASA workmanship standards (soldering, staking, coating).
• Read and implement requirements from engineering drawings and work orders.
• Support hardware testing, troubleshooting, inspection and modification activities.
• Lead or coordinate technical activities with significant impact on projects.
• Provide training to lower-level technicians and reviews of documents.
• Maintain tools, spaces and safety/compliance standards.
• Travel domestically to support fabrication, repair, testing, and documentation.
