Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Cargo Mission Contract (CMC) and a growing NASA/commercial portfolio. You will assist engineers in research, design, fabrication, testing, modification, repair, and documentation for electrical and mechanical systems, at the primary site and at customer locations across the United States.

The role requires a high school diploma with 8+ years of technical experience, strong ability to read engineering drawings, and hands-on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of related technical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with electrical/electronic and/or mechanical fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, repair, or testing.
• Familiarity with engineering drawing and documentation processes.
• Familiarity with tool and equipment calibration requirements.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
• Travel up to 10% across U.S. locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support following approved documents and drawings.
• Fabricate, assemble, modify, repair, troubleshoot, and test electrical/electronic and mechanical components.
• Handle laptops, printers, audiovisual equipment, and related hardware.
• Fabricate cables and harnesses to NASA workmanship standards.
• Read and implement requirements from drawings and work orders.
• Support hardware testing, inspection, repair, and modification activities.
• Coordinate multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
• Lead or coordinate technical activities with impact on project results.
• Mentor lower-level technicians and provide feedback to engineers.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and lab spaces per safety and quality standards.
• Travel domestically to support fabrication, testing, and review activities.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree or technical/trade certification in engineering technology/electronics/mechanical
