Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide semi-professional technical support for engineers across research, design, development, testing, and manufacturing processes. The role includes electrical and mechanical fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, and testing for new hardware development and sustaining engineering.

Some projects may require travel up to 10% to other NASA centers or testing sites.

Qualifications

• Reading engineering drawings and work orders to implement requirements.
• Familiarity with the engineering drawings process and calibration.
• Ability to read and interpret requirements from specs and designs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support and perform steps via work authorizing documents.
• Fabricate cables and electronic components and perform assembly tasks.
• Support multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead operations within an area with significant impact on results.
• Train and assist lower-level support staff.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and organization.
• Lift up to 35 lbs as required.
