Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Cargo Mission Contract (CMC). You will assist engineers with design, development, testing, and manufacturing process improvements, focusing on electrical and mechanical fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting.

You may travel up to 10% to NASA centers or testing sites. The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years in related work, and the ability to read engineering drawings and work orders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years related experience.
• Ability to read and implement requirements from engineering drawings and work orders.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings process.
• Familiarity with tool calibration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support and perform steps via work authorizing documents.
• Perform work pertaining to laptops, printers, AV equipment, electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment.
• Fabricate cables and electronic components utilizing NASA standards (soldering, harness/cable, staking/conformal coating).
• Support multiple projects, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Lead some operations within an area with significant impact on results.
• Assist and train lower-level support employees.
• General Lab cleanup and maintenance.
• Lift up to 35 lbs without assistive equipment.
