Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Power Electronics Engineer to drive the design and development of megawatt-scale converter systems for marine, naval, energy and industrial applications.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, specify and document converter solutions, and ensure designs meet health, safety and regulatory requirements while collaborating with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline; total experience valued over formal qual.
• Strong experience in power electronics converter design including gating electronics and thermal design.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver MW-scale power electronics converter solutions to meet complex requirements.
• Lead modelling, simulation, and analysis of converter systems using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSpice, Mathcad, CFD.
• Lead verification, validation, and testing of low and medium voltage power electronics systems.
• Provide cross-functional technical support to Tendering, Test, and Commissioning teams.
• Advance engineering practice by applying standards and tools across the team.
