Job summary

GE Vernova Power Conversion & Storage seeks a Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design and delivery of high‑end power converters for naval, marine, and oil & gas applications. You will own concepts, analyses, build, and testing, while guiding controls and real‑time modeling to meet customer requirements. The role requires a Ph.D.

in power electronics, PCB/IGBT design experience, and leadership skills. US citizenship and clearance eligibility are expected; relocation support is limited;

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in power electronics from an accredited university.
• Experience in PCB design for minimal stray inductance/EMI optimization.
• Schematic capture and layout experience for power converters.

Responsibilities

• Lead power converter development from concept to validated delivery.
• Define product requirements and drive system-level testing and validation.
• Coordinate interfaces between components and subcontractors/teams.
• Develop detailed specifications for large industry, marine, and naval converters.
• Build strong customer relationships and communicate technical information clearly.
• Lead teams and manage programs under engineering processes.
