GE Vernova’s Power Conversion Naval Systems division seeks a lead Power Electronics Engineer with deep expertise in power converter designs, development, and test. The role owns designs from concept through fully validated solutions, supporting controls and software development, real-time modeling, and customer applications.

The candidate will drive CTQ/risk trades, prepare detailed specifications for large power converters, and interact with customers as the GE interface.

Competenze

• Ph.D. in power electronics systems engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in PCB design for minimal stray inductance and capacitance and EMI/EMC optimization.
• PCB schematic capture and layout experience.
• Experience in design of IGBT and Wideband Gap semiconductor based power converters and magnetic component design.
• Experience in parallel and series implementation of power semiconductors for higher power and voltage converter design.

Mansioni

• Conducts component and product integration across multiple components and products.
• Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down.
• Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
• Defines product requirements for modules/components and subcontractors.
• Leads teams and interfaces between components and execution organizations.
