Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Power Electronics Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team developing medium-voltage drive systems for demanding industrial and marine applications. You will oversee hardware/software design reviews and drive cross-functional project execution across global centers of excellence.

You will mentor engineers, shape hiring and growth, and champion LEAN practices to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Controls, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in variable speed drives, power quality, electrical grid stability, STATCOM or motor control.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Embedded Software and Real-Time Operating System based controllers.

Responsibilities

• Lead project and portfolio execution across Sales, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Commissioning teams.
• Provide engineering leadership for software and hardware design reviews and for system-level decisions.
• Direct design and optimization of medium-voltage power conversion systems and motor control algorithms.
• Coach and mentor engineers; own hiring lifecycle and build a high-performing team.
