Job summary

Exowatt is seeking a Lead Power Electronics Engineer to own system architecture for MW-class multi-port power conversion. Based in Miami, FL, you will drive product requirements, partner evaluation, and certification readiness to deliver a scalable, grid-compatible solution by 2027.

You will collaborate with product, controls, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to optimize topology, safety, reliability, and manufacturability while coordinating external partners.

Qualifications

• Senior engineer with MW-class power electronics experience requested.
• Experience leading architecture, requirements, and certification readiness.
• Strong background in high-power converter design and grid-interactive systems.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture definition for MW-class power conversion system interfacing with solar, storage, grid, and other ports.
• Develop product and engineering requirements across electrical, thermal, mechanical, and controls domains.
• Evaluate SiC/GaN and Solid State Transformer options, balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Drive validation strategies and certification readiness through UL/IEEE/IEC pathways.
• Collaborate with controls, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to meet timelines.
