GE Vernova Power Conversion & Storage division is seeking a PhD-level Power Electronics Engineer to own and lead power converter designs, from concept through validated delivery, across naval, marine, and industrial applications.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, testing, and collaboration with controls and software teams to meet customer requirements. Must be able to obtain DoD clearance and work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in power electronics systems engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in PCB design for minimal stray inductance and EMI/EMC optimization.
• PCB schematic capture and layout experience.
• Experience in design of IGBT and Wideband Gap semiconductor based power converters and magnetic component design.
• Experience in parallel and series implementation of power semiconductors for higher power and voltage converter design.

Responsabilités

• Conducts component and product integration across multiple components and products; manages requirements and flow down.
• Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product; defines module/component requirements with partners.
• Lead development of advanced power converter projects from concept to validated delivery.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications for large industry, marine and naval power converters capturing customer requirements.
• Lead customer-facing interactions, and communicate technical information clearly.
