Job summary

West 4th Strategy is seeking a Program Manager for the National Coast Guard Museum in New London, CT. You will serve as the senior on-site manager, coordinating contractor performance, workforce supervision, quality control, and contract administration to support museum operations.

The role requires leading daily services across administration, visitor services, volunteer coordination, education support, IT/AV, exhibit maintenance, and event support.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a museum, cultural institution, public attraction, or similar nonprofit environment.
• Experience managing budgets and personnel (at least three years).
• Familiarity with museum back of house operations and facility management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of contractor performance, including workforce supervision, quality control, coordination, and contract administration.
• Directs daily contractor services: administration, visitor services, volunteer coordination, education support, IT/AV, exhibit maintenance, and event support.
• Serves as the key liaison between the contractor and the Government for contract performance and museum operations.
• Manages contractor invoicing, staffing costs, performance records, and communications with CO and COR.
• Recommends contractor procedures and supports implementation of museum policies.
