Job summary

Ruchman and Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead all contractor-provided staffing and daily operations for the National Coast Guard Museum.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of leadership in a museum, cultural institution, public attraction, or similar nonprofit environment.
• At least three years of managing budgets and personnel.
• Deep familiarity with personnel management and performance management.
• Experience with back-of-house operations: registration, collections care, exhibition production, and facility management.
• Proven ability to translate a 5-year strategic vision into actionable annual work plans and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day contractor-provided services including administration, visitor services, volunteer coordination, education support, IT/AV, exhibit maintenance, and event support.
• Serve as key liaison between Contractor and Government for contract performance and museum operations.
• Manage contractor invoicing, staffing costs, performance records, and communications with CO and COR.
• Recommend contractor procedures and support government-approved museum policies; government retains final authority over policy, collections, public access, safety, and program content.
