Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. invites applicants to join our 2027 summer internship season on the Municipal team in the Twin Cities Metro area. You will gain on-the-job civil engineering experience focusing on municipal projects and construction activities.

The internship targets Civil Engineering students with a GPA around 2.8 or higher, ready for sophomore standing, and with coursework in surveying and AutoCAD. A valid driver’s license and transportation are required, with travel reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program or closely related program from an accredited institution.
• Minimum GPA 2.8; Desired 3.2 or above.
• Sophomore or above with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.

Responsibilities

• Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
• Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
• Some opportunities may include design calculations, writing specifications, and reviewing shop drawings.
