Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. in NE MN invites Civil Engineering students to join our Municipal team as interns for the 2027 summer season. You’ll gain hands-on experience in public infrastructure projects within a supportive, Top Workplace environment.

You’ll work on civil engineering tasks, field observations, reports, and cost estimates while learning from a team with 75+ years of experience across the Midwest. Relocation and housing are not included, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program or closely related program from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Minimum GPA 2.8; Desired GPA 3.2 or above.
• Sophomore or above with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
• Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation duties.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and own transportation or access to public transportation; travel reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
• Some opportunities may include working on various reports, completing design calculations, writing specifications, and reviewing shop drawings.
