Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. invites applications for a 2027 summer Civil Engineer Intern on our Municipal team serving the NE MN Area. This internship offers hands-on experience in municipal infrastructure, construction observation, and design support within a top work environment.

You will assist on civil engineering projects, prepare reports and cost estimates, and gain exposure to construction administration and drafting tasks while working with a professional team throughout the summer.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program from an accredited institution.
• Minimum GPA 2.8; Desired 3.2 or above.
• Sophomore or higher with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
• Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation duties.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation or access to public transit; travel reimbursement for business-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving planning and design.
• Assist with preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
• Some internships may include design calculations, writing specifications, and reviewing shop drawings.
