As a Civil Engineer Intern you will gain practical on-the-job experience serving our municipalities and spend the majority of your time on construction phase activities within our Municipal team.

Qualifications

• Selected candidates will be enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree program or closely related program from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Minimum GPA 2.8; Desired 3.2 or above
• Sophomore or above with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting
• Must be able to work outdoors in extended conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation duties.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and own transportation or have access to public transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
• Assist with preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
• Some internship opportunities may include reports, design calculations, writing specifications, and reviewing shop drawings.
