Bolton & Menk, Inc. invites applications for a Civil Engineering Intern on our Municipal summer team in the NE MN area. You will gain practical on-the-job experience serving municipalities and primarily work on construction-phase activities.

We seek students enrolled in Civil Engineering with a 2.8 GPA minimum, ideally Sophomores with surveying and AutoCAD coursework. Valid driver's license required; relocation not included. The role offers real-world exposure and a guarded compensation range.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
Minimum GPA of 2.8; 3.2+ preferred.
Sophomore or higher with coursework in surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
Must be able to work outdoors in extended conditions; physical stamina required.
Valid driver’s license and own transportation (reimbursed for business travel).

Responsibilities

Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
Assist with preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Assist with construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
Some internships may include design calculations, writing specifications, and reviewing shop drawings.
