Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Payroll Coordinator to maintain timely, accurate payroll processing and reduce operational risk. This role handles data entry, audits, and off-cycle payments while supporting field payroll needs across multiple states.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in payroll/finance, multi-state experience, and strong communication skills; familiarity with payroll software and bilingual Spanish is a plus. This is an hourly, full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED required.
• 3–5 years of payroll and/or finance experience.
• Multi-state payroll processing required.
• Other certifications (FPC/CPP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inputs data to payroll systems to prepare weekly and semi-monthly payrolls and runs pre-payroll audits.
• Computes wage/overtime, deductions, and off-cycle payments; handles repayment of overpayments.
• Answers payroll questions from employees and management; ensures policy compliance.
• Audits earnings/deductions; prepares reports for management; maintains confidentiality.
• Processes payroll for 5,000–7,000 employees across multiple states.
