Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in Weston, FL is seeking a hotel maintenance technician responsible for preventative and repair work on mechanical/electrical systems, general plant upkeep, FF&E, and pool area safety. Qualifications

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Ability to recognize safety hazards and security problems in the hotel.
• Be willing to comply with hotel policies including appearance, safety and emergency procedures.
• Skilled in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Able to use basic hand and electric tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunction in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a schedule basis (e.g., room care).
• Maintains the building exterior and curb appeal, including lawn care, painting, and gardening.
• Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
• Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor and assists other Engineering Personnel as needed.
• Performs related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
