Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality seeks a Maintenance Technician to safeguard and repair the hotel's mechanical/electrical systems and to upkeep the property, grounds, and pool. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and reporting safety hazards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry, plus the ability to follow instructions and work with a team.

Qualifications

• The Hotel may consider equivalent education and experience to meet required knowledge and abilities.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry trades.
• Ability to recognize safety hazards and security issues in the hotel.
• Compliance with hotel policies, appearance and grooming standards, and procedures.
• Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, roofing and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) in the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
• Maintains the hotel pool, adjusts chemicals and cleans filters; logs maintenance requests.
• Maintains exterior areas and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, gardening).
• Follows safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisor.
• Assists other engineering personnel as needed.
• Performs other duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
