Job summary

SMC is seeking a Service Technician to ensure the physical assets meet company standards and applicable laws. You will diagnose problems and perform hands-on repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, tiling, masonry and appliances in a full-time role.

You will follow the established tool checklist, maintain records, and participate in on-call rotations while upholding safety and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies.
• Diagnose HVAC problems and repair or replace components, as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC units.
• Complete additional preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage; ensure all work and documentation comply with internal quality control standards.
• Maintain personal supply of tools as designated by SMC's Tool Checklist.
• Address emergency maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
• Contribute to community and company engagement efforts.
