Job summary

SMC is seeking a skilled apartment maintenance service technician with experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and general facilities maintenance. This full-time role requires diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and ensuring property standards and safety compliance in a live-on community setting.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, record-keeping, and communication skills, plus the ability to lift up to 80 pounds and operate within on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in maintenance-related field(s).
• Completion of basic maintenance classes and on-the-job training within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose HVAC problems and repair or replace components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC units.
• Address emergency maintenance as needed.
• Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies and document service requests.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage.
• Ensure all work and documentation comply with internal quality control standards.
