Job summary

SMC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong background in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC to ensure the physical asset of the community meets company standards and applicable laws. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs, and provide hands-on troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades.

You will participate in on-call rotation, document service requests, maintain supplies, and ensure compliance with internal quality control

Qualifications

Three years of maintenance-related experience.
Completion of Basic Electric class offered at SMC internal training facility.
Completion of all other basic maintenance classes offered internally and all on-the-job training within one year of hire date.
Ability to perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structure, tiling, masonry and appliances.

Responsibilities

Address, follow up and document service requests.
Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies.
Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC unit.
Complete additional preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled.
Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
Make repairs to grounds and drainage.
Ensure all work and documentation comply with internal quality control standards.
Maintain personal supply of tools as designated by SMC's Tool Checklist.
Address emergency maintenance as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
Contribute to community and company engagement efforts.
