Job summary

SMC is seeking a Service Technician to ensure community assets meet company standards and applicable laws. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs, and provide hands-on troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and related areas.

The role requires completing preventive maintenance, maintaining records, and supporting on-call rotations. Candidates should have strong customer service, clear communication, and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Three years of maintenance-related experience.
• Basic Electric class completed at internal training facility.
• Completion of internal maintenance training and on-the-job training within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units and related systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage.
• Ensure work and documentation meet quality standards.
• Maintain personal tools per SMC tool checklist.
• Address emergency maintenance as needed.
• Contribute to community and company engagement.
