Job summary

smcexternalcareers is seeking a Service Technician in a full-time role to ensure community assets meet company standards and laws. You will diagnose problems and perform hands-on repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and drywall areas.

The position requires three years of maintenance experience and completion of internal training courses, with on-the-job training within a year of hire. Team engagement and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in maintenance related field(s).
• Successful completion of Basic Electric class offered at SMC internal training facility.
• Completion of all other basic maintenance classes offered internally and on-the-job training within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC unit.
• Complete additional preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage.
• Ensure all work and documentation comply with internal quality control standards.
• Maintain personal supply of tools as designated by SMC's Tool Checklist.
• Address emergency maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
• Contribute to community and company engagement efforts.
