Job summary

SMC is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair community assets. Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and providing hands-on troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliance systems.

This full-time role runs 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday with a rotating Saturday schedule every three weeks; the following week off Friday through Sunday. NO ON CALL and a focus on safety and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform repairs.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structure, tiling, masonry and appliances.
• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure tools are kept up to date.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC units.
• Respond to emergency maintenance as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Contribute to community and company engagement efforts.
