Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a maintenance technician to perform general building repairs and unit make-ready duties on empty units. You will handle electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, HVAC, and related tasks on work orders and projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, maintaining inventory, conducting preventive maintenance, and supporting emergency on-call maintenance. A valid driver’s license and basic hand tools are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair knowledge.
• Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred.
• Technical training and license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general building maintenance repairs and unit make-ready duties for empty units.
• Handles work orders and projects including electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and HVAC tasks.
• Keeps organized records of appliance replacement, carpet, and paints.
• Ensures vacant apartments are ready per company standards, including vendor coordination and appliance replacement.
• Monitors budgets and maintains building inventory for cost efficiency.
• Schedules and completes preventive maintenance.
• Assists in monitoring all work by outside contractors.
• Responds to 24-hour emergency maintenance calls as on-call.
