Job summary

CGL Facility Maintenance is seeking a General Trades Technician to perform wide-ranging facility repairs and preventive maintenance across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and related systems. The role requires safe work practices and the ability to read blueprints and use CMMS software.

You will work on-site in facilities, respond to service requests, and assist in on-call emergencies while mentoring junior staff and maintaining a clean, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Willing to be on-call and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment.
• Respond to service requests including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
• Operate and maintain building automation and safety procedures.
• Read blueprints and manuals to determine work and required resources.
• Ensure safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
• On-call support and mentoring for other technicians.
