Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the property in peak condition. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairs, and glass work, while responding to resident requests via a work order system.

You will conduct preventative maintenance, prepare vacant units, maintain amenities, manage tools and inventory, and participate in safety training and inspections. A valid license and on-site accessibility are required.

Qualifications

• One year of general maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair).
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal handling required for refrigerants.
• Multifamily apartment maintenance experience desired.
• On-call availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license for vehicle operation.
• Customer-service oriented with residents.
• Attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests using a work order system.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs for safe operation across the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, inspections, punch lists, scheduling contractors, and quality checks.
• Maintain amenity areas through cleaning, trash removal, pressure washing, and painting.
• Manage maintenance tools and inventory, and notify supervisors of reorder needs.
• Support safety policies by attending safety meetings and OSHA training; report incidents.
• Inspect vendor/contractor work for quality and scope; assist in property inspections.
