Job summary

SMC seeks a Service Technician to maintain community assets across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related trades. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance to meet company standards and applicable laws.

Strong troubleshooting, excellent customer service, and precise record keeping are essential. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required, plus on‑call rotation every fourth week.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and preventative maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and customer service skills.
• Comfort using technology and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment in a maintenance role.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle required.
• On-call rotation every fourth week.

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and related systems.
• Complete additional preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage.
• Ensure all work and documentation comply with internal standards.
• Maintain personal tools as designated by SMC's Tool Checklist.
• Address emergency maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
• Contribute to community and company engagement efforts.
