Job summary

SMC is seeking a Service Technician to ensure the physical assets of our community meet company standards and legal requirements. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs, and provide hands-on troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades.

Ideal candidates have seven years of maintenance experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to document and follow procedures with precision.

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies.
• Diagnose HVAC problems and repair or replace components as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC units.
• Complete additional preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage and ensure quality control standards are met.
• Maintain personal supply of tools as designated by SMC's Tool Checklist.
• Address emergency maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
• Contribute to community and company engagement efforts.
