Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health’s Patient Service Representatives are often the first point of contact for patients and play a critical role in creating a positive experience across our network of practices.

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) Float provides front office coverage across multiple practice locations as needed, with travel between sites and weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Windows-based office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, visitors, and customers in a professional and compassionate manner
• Answer incoming telephone calls and provide general information
• Perform patient check-in and check-out functions
• Schedule appointments and requested testing
• Enter and track referrals
• Verify and update patient demographic and registration information
• Collect and process co-pays and daily payment batches accurately
• Scan and index documentation into the electronic medical record
• Provide coverage for multiple practice locations, including weekend and holiday rotations as needed
• Support Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives and other special projects
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies and procedures
