Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to handle routine maintenance across our properties in the Sandy, UT area. The role focuses on ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to resident requests, and assist in make-ready tasks for new move-ins, while adhering to safety and OSHA requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus for resident interactions.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication preferred.
• EPA refrigerant certification required or as specified by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source of defects and perform repairs per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Track inventory, access materials, and notify maintenance about re-ordering needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform general cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing instead of replacing parts where feasible.
