Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards. The role performs work orders, preventative maintenance, and makes-ready tasks for vacant units while coordinating with vendors and inventory control.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing systems per safety codes, documenting work performed, and supporting cost‑control efforts.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance following policies, procedures, safety standards and code requirements.
• Makes-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-in inspection and punch list.
• Tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies maintenance supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork for service requests to enable tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost‑control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools correctly.
