Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to support two Charlotte-area communities. You will perform maintenance, complete work orders, and manage make-ready tasks to prepare units for leasing.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certification and a valid driver’s license, with opportunities to contribute to safety and cost-control initiatives. This multi-site position involves flexible hours, on-call duties, and a focus on quality workmanship across both properties, The Winnifred and The Winston,

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications (Type I/II or Universal) required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventive maintenance, diagnosing defects and applying repairs per safety and code requirements.
• Executes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including pre-move-out checks, punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Manages materials by accessing, tracking, and returning items from maintenance inventory; communicates re-order needs to supervisor.
• Documents service requests promptly and accurately to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas by cleaning, painting curbs, and maintaining pool and breezeways as needed.
• Supports cost control by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Attends safety meetings and ensures compliance with OSHA and safety policies; may inspect contractor work for quality.
• Performs routine property inspections and communicates physical needs to management.

Education

EPA refrigerant certifications (Type I/II or Universal)
