Job summary

InTown Suites seeks a Floating General Manager to cover operations at assigned properties in North Carolina and beyond. You will oversee property activities during GM absences, train staff, and support regional projects.

Responsibilities include driving occupancy and revenue through local marketing, ensuring high guest satisfaction, and coordinating maintenance and safety. Travel up to 90% within the market is required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a functioning automobile.
• Read, speak, write and understand English to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to read and interpret various internal reports and forecasts.
• Mathematical skills to forecast revenue, occupancy and labor costs.
• General computer proficiency and Front Office system know-how.
• Knowledge of Front Office operations, service standards and upselling techniques.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work long hours and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate properties in the absence of a General Manager as needed.
• Follow the General Manager daily flow when acting as GM.
• Assist in recruitment and training of property staff.
• Drive sales through local marketing and outreach.
• Ensure excellent guest service and resolve issues promptly.
• Identify and address maintenance and safety concerns.
• Travel to properties within the market as assignments require.
