Job summary

InTown Suites is seeking a Floating General Manager to cover operations across properties in the assigned market. You will step in for General Managers during absences and lead short-term assignments including local marketing and staff training.

The role involves ensuring guest satisfaction, managing budgets, and supporting the operation with cost control and quality assurance. Frequent travel and occasional overnight stays are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a functioning vehicle.
• Read, speak, write, and understand English to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret information from various reports.
• Mathematical skills to forecast room revenue, average rate, occupancy, and labor costs.
• General computer proficiency and front office operational knowledge.
• Ability to perform multiple front office roles and manage staff under business conditions.
• Strong communication to express thoughts clearly and effective problem solving.
• Flexibility to work long hours as business conditions demand.

Responsibilities

• Operate properties in the absence of a General Manager as needed.
• Follow the General Manager Daily Flow when acting as General Manager.
• Assist in recruitment of General Managers and other staff.
• Train, develop, and support property staff.
• Drive sales through local marketing activities as directed by the Regional Operations Manager.
• Ensure and provide excellent guest service.
• Identify and manage repair and maintenance issues.
• Monitor safety, security, and policy compliance at properties.
• Travel and overnight stays will be required within the market.
