Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to step in on delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You will learn multiple routes, safely load and unload garments, and ensure timely service with a focus on customer satisfaction.

You will handle invoices, conduct inventory checks, and uphold safety standards while collaborating with service teams to support new accounts and upsell where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• DOT requirements including a physical exam must be met.
• High school diploma, GED or military service required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in delivery or route-based roles is a plus.
• Comfortable using new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and staying on feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Cover delivery routes when RSRs are unavailable.
• Safely load, transport, and unload garments and products to customers on established routes.
• Provide high-quality customer service and build relationships on the go.
• Resolve customer requests independently and efficiently.
• Manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and keep vehicle clean and organized on a daily basis.
• Follow all safety policies, traffic laws, and company standards at all times.
• Support new account installations and assist RSRs on routes, including potential upselling.
