Job summary

Forward Air Corp. seeks a Terminal Manager to lead transportation and forwarding terminal operations from inbound to final delivery in Nashville. You will drive safety, compliance, and efficiency while aligning performance with contracts, service levels, and financial goals.

You will oversee workforce planning, capacity management, and cost control, using data-driven decision making to optimize productivity across multimodal flows and carrier partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification/licensure required before operating equipment.
• Lean, Six Sigma, DOT compliance training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all operations from inbound receipt to final delivery at the terminal.
• Ensure service, financial, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across modes.
• Coach teams to drive consistent execution and process accuracy.
• Own terminal P&L, labor, costs, and cost-to-serve across modes.
• Lead workforce planning, forecasting, capacity alignment, and resource allocation.
