Job summary

Mercor is hiring certified medical coders to review and annotate clinical documentation and AI-generated notes for a healthcare AI partner. The role supports multilingual annotation with English plus at least one other language at an advanced level.

You will review, annotate, and evaluate clinical notes to improve accuracy and coding integrity, contributing to guideline refinement and structured feedback for engineering and product teams. Remote, part-time availability starts at 10 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Active certification — CCDS, CHC, CCS, or CPC.
• ICD-10 coding experience.
• Currently working in medical coding or related documentation roles.
• US-based.
• Advanced (C1+) proficiency in at least one other language besides English.
• Availability of at least 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation for accuracy and coding integrity.
• Evaluate AI-generated clinical notes against standards.
• Validate alignment between documentation and codes.
• Annotate clinical documentation against guidelines.
• Provide structured feedback to engineering and product teams.
