Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and manage the make-ready process for vacant homes, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, and vendor coordination.

You will also track inventory, document work, and assist in inspections while maintaining

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications required (Type 1 & II or Universal).
• State and local jurisdiction certifications required for all technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf carts on property as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, from inspection to punch list and vendor coordination.
• Tracks materials, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation to enable proper service-request tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing them when feasible.

Education

EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling

State and Local certifications

Valid driver’s license
