Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the property's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and handle preventive maintenance tasks across the portfolio.

You will also manage make-ready prep for vacant units, coordinate with vendors, track inventory, document work orders, and support cost-control initiatives while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in property maintenance or related field.
• May require HVAC and state/local certifications.
• Proactive, self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and repair to meet safety and policy standards.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant units, coordinate vendors and inspections.
• Track materials, materials usage, and re-order supplies as needed.
• Document service requests accurately for tracking and follow-up.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Attend safety meetings and follow OSHA and safety policies; report incidents promptly.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance with scope and specs.
• Conduct periodic property inspections and communicate needs to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
