Job summary

The Hallmark Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of apartment equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances. On-site, must have own tools and be able to respond to emergency calls 24/7 when scheduled.

Two years of maintenance experience or equivalent education required; HVAC/EPA certifications preferred; multifamily experience and CPO/Fair Housing certificate are pluses. Driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Two years maintenance experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills.
• HVAC and/or EPA certification preferred.
• Previous multifamily experience preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.
• Fair Housing Certificate required.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, troubleshoot, and complete preventive maintenance of apartment equipment.
• On-site basic repairs including HVAC, appliances, water heaters, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled.
• Assist in training Groundskeepers and entry-level Maintenance Technicians.
• Inspect building systems and oversee repairs; prepare property for inspections by regulatory agencies.
• Perform preventive maintenance including winterizing facilities and pool equipment; manage lights in vacant units.
• Inspect vacant units and oversee turnovers; document subcontracted work.
• Maintain grounds and remove litter; walk common areas daily; remove snow and ice.
• Perform administrative duties for maintenance requests and inventory control.
• Move heavy equipment safely; perform other duties as assigned.
