Job summary

The Hallmark Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of apartment equipment, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role requires owning your own tools and being available for emergency maintenance on a 24-hour basis.

Two years of maintenance experience is required; HVAC/EPA certifications are preferred, and having a valid driver's license is necessary.

Qualifications

• Two years maintenance experience required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills.
• HVAC and/or EPA certification preferred.
• Previous multifamily experience preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred
• Fair Housing Certificate required.
• Drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems and appliances.
• On-site basic repairs including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled.
• Assist in training Groundskeepers and junior Technicians.
• Inspect and document maintenance work and supervise subcontracted services.
• Prepare properties for inspections by regulatory agencies and tests of safety systems.
• Winterize facilities and maintain pool equipment and chemical balance.
• Inspect vacant units and assist with turnovers.
• Move heavy equipment safely and manage maintenance requests and inventory.
