Job summary

The Hallmark Company is actively seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, troubleshoot issues, and run preventive maintenance for apartment equipment including HVAC, appliances, electrical, and plumbing. Must have own tools and be ready for on-call duties.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, unit turnovers, coordinating with vendors, training junior staff, and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years maintenance experience required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills.
• HVAC and/or EPA certification preferred.
• Previous multifamily experience preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred
• Fair Housing Certificate required.
• Drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, troubleshoots systems, and completes preventative maintenance.
• On-site basic repairs including HVAC, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems.
• Available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled.
• Assists in training Groundskeepers and entry level Maintenance Technicians.
• Troubleshoots all property systems, and performs or oversees repairs.
• Conducts maintenance-related inspections, including building and alarm systems inspections.
• Performs Preventive Maintenance including winterizing facilities and pool maintenance.
• Inspects vacant units and prepares turnovers.
• Inspects subcontracted service providers and documents work and quality.
• Walks the grounds and common interior areas daily; removes debris.
• Removes snow and ice from sidewalks and driveways.
• Completes repairs as directed.
• Performs administrative duties for maintenance requests and inventory.
