Job summary

Avanath Capital Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our multifamily properties in top condition and provide outstanding service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure apartments are move-in ready with quality workmanship.

The role emphasizes professionalism, on-call availability, and strong communication. A background in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and pool maintenance is valued along with EPA Type II/Universal

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, e-mail).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and deliver high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance per safety standards and codes.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant homes including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Maintain grounds and amenities, perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Contribute to cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when possible; report safety concerns to management.
• Follow procedures for obtaining materials and track inventory; notify on re-ordering needs.
