Job summary

Avanath Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain multifamily properties and deliver excellent resident service. You will diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and pool systems, complete work orders, and prep homes for leasing.

On-call availability, strong teamwork, safety compliance, and basic computer skills are required. The role emphasizes professionalism, resident relations, and cost-conscious upkeep across Avanath communities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address any emergencies.
• Reliable Transportation.
• A positive attitude and the desire to learn and develop your skills.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and delivers high-quality maintenance service.
• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance on the property.
• Prepares vacant homes for leasing by completing inspections and coordinating needed work.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning and light maintenance tasks.
• Supports cost-control by fixing parts when possible and stays compliant with safety policies.
• Follows procedures for material handling and inventory management within maintenance.
