Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our multifamily communities in excellent condition and provide outstanding resident service. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance with a focus on safety, efficiency, and resident satisfaction, keeping properties well-presented and functional.

The role requires hands-on skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliances, plus a collaborative attitude and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience.
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable transportation and strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and high-quality maintenance.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies and safety standards.
• Finish the make-ready process for vacant homes including inspections and scheduling.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; assist with cleaning, painting, and upkeep as needed.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing parts when possible and manage supplies wisely.
• Track inventory and notify supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulatory requirements; report issues promptly.
• Attend safety meetings and training; assist in risk-management practices.
• Travel to sister communities to provide maintenance support when required.
